Laurent Dumont is Global Market Manager at Bluestar Silicones, and was in 2003 the lab leader for the technical development of advantex™.

He previously worked 5 years in the United States as a R&D engineer for technical textiles, and developed some new silicone coating processes. He is now responsible for the Textile Coating Market, and still in charge the development of advantex™.

He will speak about the technology: “I developed this silicone based technology with a whole R&D team some years ago, and I can say that it was really a challenge. In our lab, we tried many many silicone formulations  to obtain what is on the market today. It is for us a nice innovation, and we are really proud to bring to market a technical textile with ultra durable weather protection. To bring products to market, we have a lab dedicated for advantex™, where we test the textiles, develop new formulations…we try to bring the best to our customers!” Laurent
