To prove that we keep our promises when we talk about durability, all of our products undergo the Martin Dale Test in our quality laboratories to check their durability and abrasion resistance. In this test, we rub the textile again and again with an abradant (wool, sandpaper...) under a determined pressure. After 40,000 cycles, the most demanding level for testing textiles, advantex™ textiles are still resistant, still continue to protect against water, wind, UV... Rely on advantex™ highest technology in terms of quality and performance : each garment has a high level of durability : resistance, breathability, water- and windproofness, along with an outstanding level of comfort, intact for years. |
High abrasion resistance

Abrasion resistance is the ability for a textile to withstand mechanical action such as rubbing, scraping….This normally tends to destroy material from its surface. advantex™ technology has this ability to resist to abrasion very well, even after 40 000 cycles (see the Martin Dale test in video), due to its unique silicone grafting process : each textile fibre is grafted with silicone. As silicone is well known for its outstanding resistance, the coated textile will provide you a high level of abrasion resistance, on dry or wet conditions, even after intense use. |

100% silicone

There are literally thousands applications with silicone in hundreds of markets (in healthcare, decorative coatings, solar or automotive industry…) that bring safety, comfort and enjoyment to life. When we talk about "advantex™, a silicone-based technology"…what does it mean? The silicone sub micronic layer is anchored at the core of the fiber, which provides you the only guaranty to maintain all of the garment's performances over time and intense use. Even if some species are abraded through heavy use, there is a lot left around every single fiber, so it doesn’t spoil the fabric’s performances. advantex™ is a good alternative to fluorinated surface treatments, and, as the silicone is a flexible material, it will provide a very nice hand feeling compared to conventional materials. |
UV resistant

Thanks to this silicone grafting process on every textile fibre, all of the mountain garment will have an outstanding UV resistance, even after intense use. In fact, the silicone is a material with a very high level of UV resistance. That’s why it is very often used for outdoor applications or for products requiring a high level of UV resistance, for example architectural textiles, awnings,… Be reassured! The UV resistance of the silicone will allow your mountain gear to keep its initial colors. |
